The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport has been officially unveiled, marking a significant shift in the Corvette lineup. This new model effectively replaces the E-Ray, combining a powerful internal combustion engine with electric boost for enhanced performance.

Powertrain and Performance

The Grand Sport adopts the new LS6 V-8 engine alongside an 186-hp electric motor and compact battery pack—borrowed from the ZR1X model. This hybrid setup promises improved acceleration and efficiency. The combination delivers a substantial power upgrade over previous generations, while retaining the Corvette’s signature driving experience.

Design and Features

Chevrolet has subtly updated the Grand Sport’s exterior, including relocating the iconic hash marks to the rear fenders for the first time. A Launch Edition will be available in Santorini blue with red interior accents, complete with unique embroidered headrests and floor mats.

Standard features include Magnetic Ride Control, with an optional upgrade to GM’s Performance Traction Management system for precise handling adjustments. The interior retains the Corvette’s three-screen layout, while removing the previous raised button console for a cleaner design.

Availability and Pricing

Production of the 2027 Grand Sport will begin this summer, with sales starting in the second half of the year. Although official pricing has not yet been released, estimates place the starting price around $95,000. This model represents Chevrolet’s commitment to blending traditional performance with cutting-edge hybrid technology, creating a new benchmark for the Corvette brand.
