Shelby American has launched its aggressively redesigned F-250 Super Baja pickup, a high-performance, six-figure truck built for serious off-road capability. The model is based on a fully loaded F-250 Lariat with the Ultimate package, and represents the first vehicle to roll out of Shelby’s new Bristol, Indiana facility.
Exterior Overhaul: Aggression Defined
The Super Baja isn’t subtle. A new high-flow air induction hood sits above a custom-painted grille emblazoned with Shelby badging. Below, a powder-coated steel bumper houses integrated recovery points and a massive 40-inch light bar. The truck also boasts extended fender flares, functional Shelby-branded vents, and power-deployable running boards with integrated rock sliders and lights. Striking body stripes and bed-side graphics complete the exterior look, paired with aggressive 20-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich tires.
The rear of the truck features a heavy-duty chase rack equipped with two spare tires and another nine-pod light bar, along with a powder-coated exhaust setup and an LED-lit rear bumper.
Suspension and Performance Upgrades: Beyond Aesthetics
Shelby didn’t just focus on looks. The F-250 receives a high-performance King Shocks suspension system designed to maximize ride height and off-road handling. While specific details remain under wraps, the setup includes adjustable front coilovers, piggyback rear shocks, dual steering stabilizers, and 2-inch tubular radius arms.
Under the hood, the Super Baja packs a high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel engine, which Shelby estimates produces around 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system.
Interior Enhancements: Premium Touches
Interior photos have not yet been released, but the Super Baja receives premium upgrades including custom leather seat covers, carbon fiber trim, billet pedals, embroidered floor mats, and a unique center console badge.
Limited Production and Pricing: An Exclusive Offering
Production of the Shelby F-250 Super Baja is strictly limited to just 250 units. The truck starts at $159,795, including the base F-250 Lariat Ultimate package, which itself costs around $97,000.
This release highlights the growing trend of high-performance truck modifications catering to an increasingly affluent off-road enthusiast market. The Super Baja’s price point underscores the demand for extreme capability and exclusivity in the automotive sector.
