Second in 2024. First in 2026.
The Tesla Model 3 just took the top spot in our Driver Power survey. It didn’t just scrape by. It dominated. Three of the ten main categories? Its.
Specifically EV tech and infotainment kept owners happy. They love the screens. They love the software.
But the heart of the machine? The electric motors.
They’re smooth. Powerful. The kind of thing that makes you grin when you stomp the pedal. No surprise really that the Powertrain category went to Tesla. Even the base model hits 62mph from a standstill in barely more than six seconds. That’s quick enough to leave most sedans in the dust.
Money matters
Is it cheap to keep alive? Yes.
Bronze for Economy & Running Costs. Not gold. Not silver. Bronze. Still solid though. Owners say charging is simple. Costs are low.
You get around 300 miles on a full battery.
Easy to charge. Cheap to run. That’s the pitch.
And it holds water.
So the crown fits. It sat on second place a couple of years back, now it’s on top. The tech is shiny. The drive is fun.
The question is just whether everyone can look away from that screen long enough to notice.
