Xpeng’s Australian distributor, TrueEV, is launching a limited-time Cyber Weekend promotion on the G6 electric SUV, running from November 27 to December 1, 2025. The deal significantly lowers the price of this Tesla Model Y rival through cashback or zero-interest financing.
Deal Details and Eligibility
To qualify, customers must place an order and submit a finance application by December 1, 2025, with vehicle payment and delivery completed by December 31, 2025. The offer includes two primary incentives:
- Zero-Percent Financing: A 0% p.a. comparison rate is available over 24 months with no deposit required.
- $5,000 Cashback: Customers can opt for immediate cash savings instead of financing.
- Five Years of Free Servicing: Included on all G6 orders placed during the Cyber Weekend event.
TrueEV has improved on previous offers, which featured a 2.88% fixed interest rate or $3,000 cashback alongside free servicing. An optional 10-year vehicle and battery warranty is also available for $880.
Vehicle Specs and Performance
The Xpeng G6 is a rear-wheel-drive mid-size electric SUV available in two variants:
- Standard Range: 190kW power output with a 66kWh battery.
- Long Range: 210kW motor paired with an 87.5kWh battery.
The Long Range model offers a claimed WLTP range of 570km, while the Standard Range manages 435km. Both support DC fast charging, reaching 10–80% in approximately 20 minutes at up to 215kW (Standard Range) or 280kW (Long Range).
Expansion and Market Position
Founded in 2014, Xpeng is a Chinese EV manufacturer rapidly expanding into international markets, including Australia. TrueEV operates 18 experience centers and test drive locations across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, and Tasmania, with eight additional sites planned for Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Darwin, and metropolitan Melbourne and Perth.
The G6 is positioned as a competitive mid-size electric SUV, offering an affordable alternative to established rivals like the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Xpeng is also preparing an updated G6 variant with more power and styling tweaks for the Australian market.
Market Context and Sales
Despite growing EV availability in Australia, electric vehicles still represent a small portion of overall new car sales. Chinese EV brands are aggressively competing on price to gain market share. However, TrueEV does not publicly report Xpeng sales figures through VFACTS, making it difficult to gauge the G6’s current performance. The G6 remains Xpeng’s sole offering in Australia.
This aggressive pricing strategy underscores the intensifying competition within the EV market, particularly as Chinese manufacturers seek to establish a strong foothold in Australia and other international markets. The Cyber Weekend deal is likely designed to drive volume and brand awareness quickly.
